Grass Blades

I designed my Grass Blades sculpture to beckon and guide pedestrians into Seattle Center park at the Harrison Street entrance, while screening a parking lot. All ages enjoy flexing and weaving in and out of the 110 painted steel blades. The artwork counterpoints two other Seattle icons nearby: Frank Gehry’s Museum of Pop Culture and the Space Needle. Partners on this 2002 AIA award-winning project include Rohleder Borges Fleming Architecture and artist Susan Zoccola.
